So today's topic...Where would I like to go swimming? Well if it was up to my girls, they would go to our local Elk's Lodge everyday! They love it! And quite honestly, I do too! But if I may dream a bit......
I could picture myself swimming at the bottom of a cascading waterfall, in a very tropical location...the water is crystal clear and clean with reflections from the sun, not to warm, and just the right amount of refreshing cool.
From where I sit, just above the water line, on a smooth boulder, catching the myst of the waterfall, I look out to see a view of lush flora and fauna in bright beautiful greens and bursts of oranges, yellows and violets.
Just me and this wonderous natural pool. If I close my eyes, I can see myself there. I suppose if I can do this and smile, I am half way there!
See you tomorrow! Dive in already!
It feels great creating layouts again! Here is the most recent one:
Being sick really sparks the creativity! But as much as I love to create, I hate being sick! I am not a good patient at all! But hopefully this will end by tomorrow! Have a busy week ahead, before the summer can officially begin!
Had some time...like at 3am when I couldn't sleep due to yet another cold....argh!
So I put the time to good use and played around with some photoshop!
Here is one more...
Fun to play with photos!!!-Especially at 3am!
I'm a bit late with this but I am having fun playing with this wonderful new texture, stained linen from Kim Klassen! She had these great Texture Tuesday freebies that make creating inspiring! This is a photo my daughter took which she is entering in the midstate fair. We just played around a bit with the color and texture and came up with this!
You can try it too! Click over to her site here and get the freebie and join in the fun!
I wish I didn't have to drive over five hours either north or south to get to one of my all time favorite stores, IKEA! I love that place! Everytime I go up north, I make it a regular stop, sometimes just to look and get inspiration, and other time to spend a little hard earned money!
This last time I spent on something I have been looking for a long time...a nice big frame.. This is what I finally framed:
I love this digital piece I created over a year ago. It's been hanging in a plastic sleeve on the wall. Finally it has a home! Here is the original frame...perfect for 12 x 12 layouts!!!!
If you live near and IKEA...oh I I envy you! Of course my pocketbook is happy! Already looking forward to my next trip! Any Great IKEA finds you have to share!! Do Tell!!
The Scraps of Color Blog hop was awesome!!!! I was inspired visiting each blog and blown away by how many people participated!!! Thanks so much to all the blog hoppers and SOC for hosting this awesome hop! So without further ado.... a winner:
I've been slowly but surely adding to my ETSY site and I'm so inspired and blown away by the talent there. That and I'm so excited about all the local talent in my own town! The Etsy shop, dkshattuck is a wife and husband team of creative force!! I love everything they make and the message behind it....with items made with recycled, reusable, repurposed items!!! They also travel to art shows with their wonderful pieces! This piece is one of my current favorites:
And I purchased this piece that I just love: My girls and I take turns wearing it!
I love Etsy!!!!!! Now go find yourself something nice! And while you're there, check out my shop too! There are only three things listed...so far!!!! You can see them in the side bar.
And one last thing-I just clicked over from Today's Mama, with whom I write for, and noticed that I am featured post from Local Perspectives for today!!! Cool Beans!--yes-I still say that!
